Former Hornets basketball player, Muggsy Bogues, a 14-year veteran and the shortest player in NBA history at 5'3, was hanging out with boys and girls at the MARA ball field last week. "I'm just one of the kids,' he told the Matthews Record, in between film takes for a 4 episode pilot being shot for a children's sports program. Bogues, coach of the WNBA Charlotte Sting, will host the half-hour national television program that combines recreational sports, education and entertainment. Working with New York City's Five Foot Five Productions, Bogues was all smiles. Dwight Grimm, Executive Producer, began Five Foot Five Productions with longtime friend and colleague, Pat Gallo. "The name comes from the average height between Pat and me." Throw in a five foot three sports giant to host the television production and they've got themselves a winning game. Austrailian Rules Football to cricket... began as sports photog with an Austrailian paper (The Centralian Advocate) in the Australian outback. "For the kids, this sort of recognition really goes a long way and it really helps support our mission of getting kids off the couch on the field with their friends," said Executive Producer for Five Foot Five Productions in New York City.
